As of October 10, 2011, this Toshiba 42TL515U is relatively new on the market, so there isn't a huge body of reviews yet. However,
3D TV Buying Guide has reviewed the set in depth and gives the TV an overall 8.3/10 with an 8.5/10 for value, referencing an average retail price of $1100 to $1200 at time of review. Clearly the value is even greater now when you're getting it for significantly under a grand.
In terms of features, this 42-inch 3D LED HDTV sports full HD resolution at a 240Hz refresh rate. The Buying Guide notes that side-angle 3D viewing is good, which is important if you plan on hosting a large viewing party to debut your sweet new set. Since it employs passive shutter technology for its 3D glasses, they're relatively inexpensive to replace or buy extras, and you're less likely to get a headache from wearing them. This TV is also DLNA certified, so you can stream content to it from your computer (or a NAS if you're a true technophile). And it offers Yahoo! Widgets as well as the streaming standards (Netflix, Pandora, Facebook, and so on).
Audio leaves something to be desired, but that's because the TV is literally only an inch thick leaving no room for larger speakers. And if you're getting a 42-inch 3D LED HDTV, hopefully you'll
give yourself a 3-dimensional audio experience as well to complete the immersion.

Another price drop on the popular Toshiba 42-incher, now at $650. A good compromise between screen real estate and price. Even with shipping cost, this is still cheaper than the previous lowest price we've seen.
