Lowest price we've ever seen for the Lord of the Rings trilogy on Blu-ray. If Gollum had to choose between this good of a deal and the One Ring, it'd be a toss-up. For you, it's a little easier. Buying these films may not let you become invisible at will, but you won't have to make an arduous trek to throw them into a fiery mountain, either. You get to keep these, free of unwanted side effects.

Lowest price we've seen for the theatrical version of Lord of the Rings. Next best price online is $30 which is about what its been selling for most of the summer. Right now the best price for the extended edition on Blu-ray is $79. So this is a much cheaper way to go if you don't need the extra minutes of footage found in the geek edition ... i mean extended edition.

Buy.com has The Lord of the Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy (Blu-ray) for only $29.99, $17 cheaper than the next lowest price we could find. This is a great deal for 3 great movies. I just have one question --why didn't those giant eagles lend a helping wing and fly frodo to Mount Doom and let him drop the ring in? Don't you think that would've been so much easier on everyone? Oh well, I suppose that would have made the movie a lot shorter and perhaps a little boring.
