Split Second is an arcade racing video game released in May 2010. This seemingly reality-TV style video game features cars taking names from familiar action movie characters. There are 72 events in all 12 episodes, with modes such as Survival, Air Attack, and Air Revenge. The game offers offline and online split-screen multiplayer mode that can take up to 8 players online.

Players race to win money and glory by performing stunts to fillup the powerplay meter and thru precision driving such as drifting. As the powerplay meter fills up, players can trigger special events to create obstacles for other players and shortcuts to help win the race. You can even alter the environment of the race track when you trigger the event. If you don't get the right timing, you may end up as your own victim.

The game received 84 stars out of 100. Although the gamers and critics were pleased with this game, a few flaws were cited, like the lack of a good story and lack of car customization.
