This Samsung UN55D8000 got a 10/10 for design and a 9/10 for features when CNet reviewed it back in April 2011. They gave it 4/5 stars overall - an "Excellent" designation. Actual customers rate it highly as well.
The QWERTY remote has a little display on top so you can see what you're inputting without awkwardly having to crane your neck repeatedly to see what's on the TV screen. You can also control it via apps for Android. WiFi is built in, and you can stream almost anything imaginable. It's an active 3D set, so you'll be sure to get full 1080p resolution images vertically, unlike with passive 3D.
All in all, this TV is a standout, especially in terms of general design. And if you can get one as part of a glasses/Blu-ray bundle, it's an even better deal.

Lowest price ever on the Samsung UN55D8000. This is one of Samsung's top-of-the-line LED sets, and while it doesn't come cheap, it comes with pretty much everything you'd want in a TV with a great picture and classy look to boot.
