The first video game of this series, Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension is a multi-platform game based on the TV movie by Disney. Players can play up to 10 characters including Phineas, Ferb, and four unlockable characters. The two-player coop mode allowers players to journey through 25 levels of old-style cartoon world, gnome land, and gelatin world. Characters have upgradeable gadgets and items to aid the players in saving the world. Although considered by critics as "extremely easy", and has a "very short campaign", Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension is noted to have "gorgeous environments", and has "whimsical look of the cartoon". Released in August 2011, the PS3 version has 4 free episodes.
