  Hoax, that deal was never real. Amazon price is $389, unchanged.

  There's a really nice price on the unlocked Nokia N8, which still goes for around $450 from other reputable retailers. I know what you're thinking: MeeGo? What is this, 2010? A Nokia? What is this, 1998? But the N8 is actually a very decent phone, hardware-wise, and while the UI is a bit on the lacking side, you get very decent camera, all the feature you'd expect from a modern smartphone, with superb battery-life (take that Android) and a very open platform (take that iOS).

  The N8 runs Symbian, not MeeGo. And what's the good of having an open platform when there are relatively few decent apps to run on it? I agree about the hardware though.

  Hmm weird. Must have been thinking of the N9 when I wrote that 5 months ago. Still up in the air if this is a good device at $300 though.

  This is a great deal!! I own the E7 and have no complaints but that 12mp camera is the best in class and above class. Think about it, you're getting the world's best smartphone camera, a fantastic smartphone with internet,music,video,apps etc, at a price cheaper than an ipod that plays music.
