This very popular LG 47-inch HDTV finally broke under the $1,000 price mark again earlier today. Just after 6 hours, the price dropped again! Now at $979. Great deal all around considering its in-stock and ready to ship.

This seems like a good time to jump on this LG Infinia 47LW6500 3D set. A few months back, the lowest price anywhere was $949 at Adorama, but it's been on backorder there since November. Yesterday the price dipped below $1,000 for the first time in months at Amazon, and it's now only $36 shy of the lowest price ever. Great TV, great reviews, and a great price for the first time in a while.

Ordered one almost a month ago and they still have no estimate of when it will ship. Starting to think they're waiting for the price to drop before ordering them and shipping out the back orders...

Hey Billy, sorry they're keeping you on the hook. That's incredibly frustrating, particularly since they're not giving you any sort of definite timeline. I've added a note at the top of the deal and places where people can get the set for a relatively low (but not the lowest) price.
Unfortunately Adorama DOES have the best deal on the 47LW6500 that we know of at this point by a wide margin, hence why they sold out presumably. In a way, it's nice that they're still letting people order at the low price...but if you find out when you're getting yours, do shoot us an email.

Still haven't heard anything. Thinking the price might have been an accident so they are acting like it's out of stock until either everyone cancels or the TV's eventually sell for less than that everywhere. Adorama is looking very unreliable...

Nope, it is. You just have to click "Add to cart for more info"...and when Adorama takes you to your cart, you'll see it's $949.99. (It DID go up $0.99, though...) Right now it's on backorder (Adorama's had the best price on this set for several months and has held steady well below other retailers), but they still let you order and they'll ship it when they get it.

Lowest price ever on this award-winning, best-selling 47LW6500 bundle is still good, only now Adorama doesn't even make you type in the coupon. Just add the set to your cart to get the sale price.

Has anybody received this TV from Adorama since November? I just got on the list in early January and they won't tell you any information. Seeing these posts makes me agree that likely they are waiting for the price drop and keeping us on the hook. I'm seeing complaints of long backorder times from Adorama on other products as well so that is probobaly how they do business. If I find this TV within a hundred bucks from anybody else I'm jumping on it. Unfortunately it looks like the price of all TVs has bounced up after Christmas. Hoping to catch a Superbowl sale soon.

Thanks Dan. I have had it in my cart for a couple days. I'm hoping that deal doesn't go away while I'm waiting for better deals. I'm actually seeing a better deal at VANNs right now for $1122 and am thinking about pulling the trigger at VANNs. Adorama has had the back orders on the 47lw6500 for well over a month it appears. The only sure thing is that Adorama won't get it in stock until I pay more from someplace else.

Just an update on Adorama back order. Last night I was going to cancel the 47lw6500 order I placed 3 weeks ago and order the 47lw5600 at newegg, just yesterday dropped to $899, a good buy for that set. Lucky for me I had company last night so I didn't have time until this afternoon to cancel. When I went to my email to retrieve the Adorama order info to cancel it, an email popped into my inbox from them stating my order was being shipped. So good news for me as I wanted the 6500 if I could get it within 50 bucks of the 5600. I'll let you know if I have any problems with the set or Adorama, but at least the back order was not indefinite, as I feared.
