The Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3t is the tablet convertible versoin of the popular S10 series of netbook (I've personally owned the original first generation S10 and it was awesome).  Having said that, you most likely can avoid buying this particular netbook/tablet convertible.  Given the current price ranges ($430 to almost $475), you can get a much better machine at that price point.  

For example, the much newer successor to the S10 series of netbook, the Lenovo Ideapad S205, is a much faster, more powerful laptop at a cheaper price point.  Because its now June 2011 (as of time of writing), you're much better off going with smaller, slate type tablets such as the iPad, Xoom, Asus Transformer or any other modern mobile OS based tablets than a convertible netbook/tablet.

While the S10-3t is currently still on sale, we're fairly certain Lenovo will deprecate this model soon enough and stop production. It is unlikely they'll come up with a successor and I wouldn't be surprise if Lenovo ever releases an Android-based tablet.
