Lenovo's IdeaPad Y450 is a sexy mid-range laptop that can handle all the standard computing tasks.
Highly configurable, you're going to get a 14-inch LED backlit display with a resolution of 1366x768 and built-in webcam on any model.
Optionally you can upgrade to 4GB of RAM, a 500GB hard drive, Intel Core 2 Duo processor, and NVIDIA GeForce GT 240M 512MB graphics. Windows 7 comes preloaded.
Expect 4.63 pounds, 1.4-inches at its thickest, CD/DVD recorder, 3 USB 2.0 ports (1 eSATA shared USB), VGA, HDMI, FireWire 400, 10/100/1000 ethernet, WiFi 802.11n, audio ports, and optional Bluetooth 2.1.

Looks pretty decent. I have a Y410 and have to say that for what you pay for the Lenovo IdeaPads they are an excellent value. My Y410 has been running for 16 months without a single problem.

Looks pretty good for a Lenovo. Considering the cost involved, I find really weird that Bluetooth is only available for the higher end 999$ model?

jUST got delivery of the Y450 the NU version for 585$ - that included tax and shipping....and I can say I am duely impressed with this machine in the little time I have spent with it so far.....keyboard has big keys for a 14 inch lappy, and there is no flex, solid machine......but also light in weight, and applications (programs) oriented towards watching movies and TV....my previous was a Sony Vaoi laptop the easily hit 10 lbs with the power cord, and the Y40 is 5 lbs total, I am very happy.....the only dissapointment is the screen is not quite the resolution I was expecting for my photos, but video seems very high resolution, and speakers were great....I recommend this machine for sub 600 $ laptop.........
