HP Mini 210 Buying Guide
As a recent generation netbook, the HP Mini 210 is a no-frills machine released by HP running Windows 7 Starter (with the option to upgrade to Windows 7 Premium). If you want to upgrade your Mini 210 to Windows 7 Premium, we recommend you also choose one of the processor upgrade option.
With processor choices, the Mini 210 has three version:
- Intel Atom N455 1.66Ghz
- Intel Atom N475 1.83Ghz
- Intel Atom N550 1.50Ghz Dual-Core
Beyond the typical GMA 3150 option, you can also upgrade to the Broadcom video accelerator in order to rock HD content in butter-smooth playback. If you go with the video payback upgrade, you might also want to consider the higher definition BrightView Infinity LED display upgrade, bringing the standard resolution from 1024 x 600 to a much higher and acceptable 1366 x 768.
Though there are no AMD version of the Mini 210, if you're interested in a similarly configured ultraportable/netbook, you can consider the HP dm1z, which cost a little bit more but will also provide you with more performance and bang for the buck.
Mini 210: Color choices: charcoal , ocean drive, luminous rose, lavender frost, and crimson red.
