On Sunday, September 12, HP dropped the price of the G72 laptop base configuration by $20 from $699.99 to $679.99. And the cheapest Core i5 upgrade got a lower price. It's now only $75 extra; formerly $100 more than the Core i3. Finally, HP is offering free shipping, which is nice considering over the summer they were charging $19 shipping for the G72 notebooks and back in May they charged $29 for shipping

Looking for a cheap large screen laptop? This monster 17.3-inch HP G7t is cheapest ever by $23. It's not the most up to date model but rare to see a 17-inch laptop selling under $500.
