Like the other games in the Guitar Hero series, Warriors of Rock allows up to four players to finish the songs in this music video game. Players can revive their fallen band mate by playing well for a limited time. Difficulty level also has Expert+, which introduces double bass pedal. Megadeth seems to be a featured band in this game, as finale songs and hard levels feature songs from Metallica.

Although this game tries to go back to the concept of the original Guitar Hero, it fails to distance itself from the Rock Band series. Due to this, the game received mixed reviews from critics. Gamers, on the other hand, feel that the price is too steep. This game receives 74 stars out of 100.
