Zappos VIP membership is a lifetime membership that gives you free overnight shipping on all of your orders. Zappos is known for surprisingly fast shipping, sometimes overnight shipping even when you didn't pay for it, but it's also nice just to know that you'll get free overnight shipping every time.

Amazon did offer Prime free for students, but it has to come from a .edu address. Note that you can have .edu in addition to a main gmail.com address (or whatever). It does not
