Dyson's DC25 is Dyson's top of the line upright ball vacuum.
The DC25 currently features three different models:
The DC25 certainly isn't the cheapest vacuum you can buy, but it may be the best. Reviews around the web are glowing, and they should be considering the cost. The DC25 stands out for its 220 air watts of suction power, ball movement technology, lifetime washable HEPA filter, fingertip brush control, 0.31 gallon bin capacity, stair cleaning accessories, and considerable 40.3ft max reach with a 24.6ft cord. At 16.2 pounds in weight, the DC25 isn't feather light but a welcome improvement from vacuums of old.
Dyson's most expensive upright vacuum is the DC28 Animal which differs from the DC25 Animal by not having the ball movement mechanism but instead includes Dyson's Airmuscle technology. Airmuscle basically means its head and brushbar automatically adjust for maximum cleaning, creating more downward force to dig out items in carpet.
Weighing in at 21 pounds the DC28 Animal lives up to its name. Consumer Reports gives it a rating of "very good".
