In essenece, if you spend more, you'll get the phone price subsidized and "free."

Comments, Questions, Feedback
I am an existing verizon wireless customer, and this deal did not work for me. All that came up was that I am not eligible.
reply
well if you replace your current verizon account with the one associated with purchasing this phone, does verizon charge you a cancellation fee and does that also bring on the fee since they contact you about it?
reply
Amended the deal notes. Sorry for the lack of clarification since Wirefly has updated the deal throughout (it wasn't free before). If you renew/upgrade your plan with Verizon, you may be eligible for the Droid X deal at the special price of $50. If you add more lines to your phone plan, you can also get the $50 price. If you're just buying the Droid X outright without any contract/plan change, then you'll face the $550 regular price. In cases like this where you might not be elgibile yet for an upgrade price through Wirefly or other third party authorized retailers, I would just phone up Verizon and ask them what they can do for you in terms of phone pricing (for example, if you sign an additional year of contract on top of your current contract, they may be able to take $100 off the phone's price).

Can you split the buy one get one free deal for the Droid X between two different accounts?
reply
Re: Split. Not sure actually, sorry about that. But if its two new accounts then definitely, you should ask Wirefly about this with their support or sales rep. Try giving them a ring at: 800-552-9000
