Update: As of May 2011, Dell is no longer offering the Studio 15 for sale on their website, and you will only be able to buy it from third party retailer. We don't recommend the Studio 15 at this poin, considering whatever configuration you'll find will be outdated and overpriced models (even if you find it for a seemingly okay price at a brick-and-mortar retail store). If you're looking for a 15-inch laptop from Dell, you can always take a look at their venerable Dell Inspiron 15 lineup, currently equipped with the latest gen Intel chip, or the higher-end performance XPS 15.
Dell's Studio 15 comes with a wide variety of options allowing you to customize it to fit your needs. Want it green? No problem. Pink? Sure thing. Select from a variety of colors and artist prints to make your Studio 15 unique. For operating system, you have the choice of Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) which comes standard, and the option to upgrade to Windows 7 Professional or Windows 7 Ultimate.
Under the hood you can select between a variety of processors ranging from Intel's Pentium Core Duo to their new Core i7. The full range for the Studio 15 also includes the Core 2 Duo, Core i3, and Core i5.
The Studio 15 can handle up to 8GB of DDR3 1333Mhz RAM, an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570, and 500GB hard drive. A DVD recorder comes standard.
The 15.6-inch LED backlit display comes in 720p (1280x720), 900p (1600x900), or 1080p (1920x1080) resolutions. Just pick your preference and whether or not you want facial recognition. A built-in 2.0 megapixel webcam comes standard on all Studio 15 laptops.
