Thanks to native SATA 6Gb/s support, this drive can read data at 555 MB/s - over half a gigabyte per second. Just wanted to write that out in English words to emphasize. Half a gigabyte per second. That's an entire CD-ROM's worth of data in just over a second (if CD-ROM drives even read fast enough to keep up). Or about 139 standard size MP3s...in a second. A full-length uncompressed DVD in under 10 seconds. You can use this in your desktop, too, thanks to the included 3.5" adapter. Some adjectives folks at NewEgg used to describe this drive included "amazing" and "perfect". One reviewer titled the review "GT Wins". So if you're a fan of winning, check this drive out and get your game/video edit/blazingly-fast-file-transfer-just-for-the-hell-of-it on. You'll need to enable TRIM in Windows 7 to optimize performance, and only bother updating the firmware if you're having problems.

Lowest price ever on this 120GB Corsair Force Series GT SSD, and $45 less than the next best price. Supports SATA 6Gb/s and read speeds of over half a gig per second.

Another good GB/$ solid disk drive deal today via the Corsair Force Series 3 240GB model at TigerDirect. $30 mail-in-rebate brings it to $199.99 free ship, new lowest ever price (previous lowest was $219.99). Can't wait when SSDs are the norm in computers.

The rebate forms both say that only one rebate per envelope will be accepted and the original UPC is required for both rebates. They most likely have grounds to deny one or both rebates if you try to send both in the same envelope. Can anyone confirm that this deal is legit? The Tiger Direct site only mentions one $30 rebate.

Hey, don't bother - looks like TigerDirect changed the deal. Yesterday morning they were listing both rebates and displaying the $64.99 price on their site - most likely a fluke on their part. Sorry for the false hope, and thanks for the catch.

Are there 2 UPC or just staple the forms together and send together?

The $65 price / two rebate sitch was probably a TigerDirect fluke, unfortunately. See above.

This may be just about the cheapest per gigabyte cost we've seen on an SSD, and it's thanks to two $30 mail-in rebates. Not the most thrilling thing to wait a few weeks to save money, but by the time you get them, maybe you'll have forgotten about them and it'll be a nice surprise. So far as the SSD goes, it's asynchronous NAND, meaning it's outperformed by synchronous NAND SSDs by a decent margin in real world tests, but most reviewers are very happy with the speeds. Next best price is nearly twice as high.

Another great $1 per GB solid disk drive deal with the popular Corsair Force Series 3, powered by the stupid fast SandForce SF-2200 controller, netting you up to 500 MB/s in max read/write speeds. SATA III 6 Gbps support, native TRIM, and background garbage collection, whats not to love?

Corsair Force Series 3 SSD for $1 per gigabyte. This speedy 120GB model is now at $120 after mail-in-rebate, which thankfully due to the advances we've made in the past 12 years, is only a tad bit less of a hassle vs how they were back in the year 2000.

Lowest price ever on this 120GB Corsair Force Series 3 SSD - a $26 price drop and a full $61 cheaper than you'll find it anywhere else. Thanks to our $30 rebate, the price per gigabyte on this super-fast drive has dropped below the mythical $1.00.
